@ruloleaks the point of having an account in a server is data ownership. one of the main aspects of the fediverse is that you own your data, no one else does. so a distributed identity might not be feasible in that context. on the other hand, a nomadic identity can (an account that can be migrated from one server to another in its entirety), and it already exists in a Fediverse platform called Hubzilla.
