@SamLawton @jovial_cynic yes, that's why I said "manifestation of", very much like how academic writing also is. that is not to say that all the forms or authors are white supremacist in themselves (although there is debate about the form aspect, most prominently in the visual arts, and for the vast majority of history the authors were indeed white supremacists), but that they are used, in terms of content and context, to maintain the idea that "white culture is superior, therefore white people are superior". let's not forget that all of this and colonialism are absolutely entangled. which brings us back to the situation described by the OP.
