FAWM drama, mention of hate crime
came back from my lunch to find out I was labelled a "hateful poster" on the #FAWM forums by the same guy who insists on opposing "recreational" and "creative" when it comes to music making and said that "serious" songs are worth more than songs made thru games, challenges, playfulness and humour. I suggested (emphasis on SUGGESTED) that he reflected on how these discourses might be elitist and for that he called me hateful.
I am an actual survivor of a near-fatal hate crime, so I can't help but wonder how powerful of a psychedelically depressing drug an immense amount of privilege can be to a person, specially so to a white cis straight man.
he has no idea what "hateful" means, no idea at all! 😢​

what fucks me up the most is that I always care about how I communicate, specially on #FAWM, and I'm always as kind, nice, sincere and honest as possible, INTENTIONALLY, when talking about negative and complicated things on the forums. so for people who LITERALLY called other people's artworks "worthless", "trash", "not songs", or their different creative processes as "ridiculous nonsense" and "not writing", to play the victim and accuse me of being "hateful", of going on a "tirade of personal attacks", of vilifying them, is abso-fucking-lutely gobsmackingly dishonest and disingenuous. even more so considering the forum posts are there for everyone to read WHAT was said and HOW things were said.
BTW: my "tirade of personal attacks" against the guy who called me hateful was a single post in a thread in which I actually talked mostly about MYSELF!!!!!!!!!
