in this very moment I'm importing my posts from @cairobraga@queer.party to @cairobraga@gts.cairobraga.com using #slurp by @vyr as a kinda test. yesterday I imported the emojos, which went almost smoothly, despite a few hiccups and some manual solutions I had to make for them to be surpassed.
this post backdating feature inaugurated in the latest @gotosocial release is a big game-change-starter for ActivityPub and Fediverse platforms in general. one can only hope that @Gargron and the #Mastodon dev team finally solve this huge missed feature in their software.
a big thank you to the whole #GoToSocial team, to Vyr specially for being so attentive and lovely in her replies to me.

ok, so the import is done. from 1288 posts, around 600 were imported.
from what I could see from the terminal messages, most of them were not imported because they were "not a top-level status or a self-reply", which I can understand, since there are technical specifics in importing replies that are not implemented (yet?). however, another bunch of them were not imported because they had some kind of a "specific audience"? from what I could gather some public posts that mentioned other accounts were not imported because they mention other accounts, despite being public and not replies (?).
maybe I missed something in the instructions to enable those being imported (?).
all in all, this feels amazing and very empowering. now let's do a backup round before we try importing the statuses from this very account to my GTS instance.
