a tip to all new users: we like to refer to twitter as #birdsite here on the Fediverse.
#MastoDicas
1 Nov 2022, 13:56:27 [original]good morning, fedizens!
yes, I started my day at 14h, what about it? lol
status: doing some Fediblock maintenance on my instance, reading some great threads on this beautiful Fediverse, being sure of the decision to sunset my #birdsite accounts and getting ready to plan how to execute it, considering doing the exact same for my facebook account, realizing both are gonna have to be a 6-month to a year-long process, deeply sighing, feeling happy about it anyways.
4 Dec 2022, 16:13:25 [original]@micahflee awesome text and reporting, thanks for sharing. I just have a suggestion: the press/journalists should stop referring to Mastodon as a "rival, competitor" to #birdsite. Mastodon is an open descentralized network based on free open source software, it's not competing with nor rivaling anything, quite the opposite, considering how the Fediverse works and its core philosophies. it can be referred to as an alternative to birdsite, at most.
16 Dec 2022, 16:25:03 [original]I sincerely hope Mastodon never implements "Quote Boosts", it is one of the most malign things from #birdsite.
29 Dec 2022, 18:04:15 [original]when I look to the world thru the #birdsite lens I don't wanna be a part of it nor take part in it.
