I will still have Win10 installed in my new laptop for necessity reasons, BUT I will make the effort of using Linux as my main OS in it as a pathway towards transition. I've been wanting to become a "full-time user" of Linux for 15 years now and it's high time I make the effort to actually do it. #LinuxTransition
30 Nov 2024, 16:13:03 [original]okay, so, I've been using @ubuntustudio as my daily driver for at least 2 weeks now, both in my 3 ys old desktop and my brand new laptop. slowly setting them up to serve my daily necessities and ideas has been a challenging and very fun process. here are some highlights, to those who are interested:
- KDE Connect is amazing and I love it;
- I decided to not use Ungoogled-Chromium in my Ubuntu installs, opting instead for LibreWolf as my main web browser, with Falkon and Firefox as my backups (I intend to do the same in my Windows installs as well);
- finding FOSS equivalents in Ubuntu to things I'd do with proprietary software in Windows is extremely satisfactory;
I can't wait to start exploring the creative software that came packed with the OS, not only to know and play with them but also to decide what stays and what goes.

or maybe @LubuntuOfficial with @ubuntustudio packages on top of it? let's see. #LinuxTransition
